Teenage arthritis is a joint condition that affects kids who are between the ages of 2 to 15 years of age. This causes the joint lines to swell and release fluids inside it. This is a long term chronic disease that results in joint pain and inflammation. There are various medical conditions that cause this condition such as the Lyme disease, rheumatic fever, bone infections, sarcodosis, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
There are also other factors such as auto immune diseases triggered by environmental factors, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, Kawasaki’s disease and systemic onset vasculitis.
Environmental Causes of Teenage Arthritis
The environmental factor that is one of the causes of teenage arthritis, is the appearance of E.coli that was found in the synovial fluid of the teenagers. This is known to trigger the immune production in the body. This would increase the extremity of the medical condition and prolongs it.
Habit of Smoking
The other causes that influence this medical condition is smoking habit, which is highly found among today’s generation. Then irregular lifestyle or sedentary lifestyle might be another cause that would lead to obesity which would cause this medical condition.
The habit of smoking, obesity and very less exercise are major causes to trigger this teenage arthritis condition in very young people.
It is a skin condition that causes rashes in the body in the exposed areas that would be very itchy and intense in nature. This itchy rash occurs in the face and can cause this type of arthritis in teenagers.
It is a kind of skin coloring on the mottled and blotchy appearance on the skin’s surface. This might also sometimes take a v shape appearance over the neck and upper chest. This shawl sign also contributes to teenager arthritis. These might also spread on the hands such as lupus combined with myotisis symptoms.
Diseases that are Causes of Teenage Arthritis
It is a disorder that involves inflammation of blood vessels in teenagers. This is caused in kids who are below 10 years of age. This is contagious in children and might also spread over to the siblings. If not properly diagnosed this would lead to extreme conditions and even death.
Other causes of teenage arthritis are the scleroderma that affects the skin of the kids. This condition is known to have two subtypes namely SSc limited and diffuse. This condition affects the skin, blood vessels, gastro intestinal tract, lungs, heart, kidneys, muscles, joints and blood vessels.
It is another cause of teenage arthritis that is an infection caused by the tick bite. This disease usually occurs in children or teens who spend maximum time in the woods or outdoors. This infected bite can take up to 36 hours to develop in to Lyme arthritis. Usually the tick bite is painless and cannot be realized by the kids infected. This is not a contagious disease and does not get transferred from one person to the other. This condition is associated with severe inflammation, pain and stiffness of the joints of the knee of the children.
