Adhesive Capsulitis is a medical condition that involves pain and stiffness in the shoulder. It restricts the shoulders from moving and is usually observed to affect one of the sides of the shoulder. This medical disorder develops when the tissues of the shoulder begin to tighten and gradually swell.

This medical condition is also known as frozen shoulder syndrome as the swollen tissues affect the mobility of the shoulder and causes acute shoulder pain. These symptoms may last for some months or they can linger for several years as well.

Knowing the various common symptoms of Adhesive capsulitis helps in diagnosing this problem in its early stage. Some of the common symptoms include pain, reduced mobility, and stiffness. This problem is more likely to affect females more than males who are under 60 years of age.
