Do your research before you write an article, there are so many untrue statements here it is so sad – it is NOT mainly unactive youth who are affected!!!! You can not cure AS, you can have it go into remission, but it will never go away. This article is crap and shame on the author!

I disagree, I’ve been in remission for 4 years now, I regularly Consume an anti-inflammatory diet, no gluten or dairy. Vitamin d has been proven to be anti-inflammatory, as has ginger. The article is pretty much exactly what I did to achieve my remission and it’s almost the same as many ra diets. Starch and carbs are not mutually exclusive for sure, that needs addressing.

“It mostly affects the youth, who are laid back and do not like to exercise.”

This is untrue and has proven this is a very unreliable and irresponsible website.

This article is incorrect on many of the things stated. As the ladies below have already pointed out. Many of these articles about spondylitis are incorrect and I have posted comments to correct some of them. Ankylosing Spondylitis does not happen because you are inactive. My Ankylosing Spondylitis began when I was 8. At that time I was doing Karate including competitions until I turned 14 when I could no longer do it because of the severe pain the AS was causing me. AS is inherited and there is no cure. Please rewrite these articles because they are giving misinformation about a disease that is already unheard of by most and do not know any better.
