Hand extension is one of the most effect yoga exercises that help improve the arthritis condition. To perform this exercise, stand and stretch your hands forward. Then, turn the palms in a way that the finger points towards the sky and you look directly at the palms. Make a fist by closing all the fingers, stretch them to the maximum possible wide open point with the fingers apart. Try to repeat this exercise at least 10 times with both the hands.

Chest press is also a great way for increasing the blood circulation and regaining the elbow strength. You need to set the circuit equipment for training at about 15 pounds or little less, then try to grasp it at your shoulder level. Now, press the weight out towards your front and then pull it back to the position from where you started it. Repeat this exercise 10 times to get the maximum results.

Arms Stretching in a Sitting Position

Sit comfortably on a yoga mat and stretch your arms over your head and then, interlock the fingers with your palms facing upwards. Take a deep breath and hold it for about 30 seconds. Now, lower the arms till they come at the level of your shoulder. Then, keep the fingers interlocked and your arms straight. You may repeat this yoga exercise 3-4 times, as it helps reduce the joint pain in the elbow region.

Arm Stretch for Relief in the Standing Position

In the standing position, lift up the right arm, bend the elbow and put your palm on the upper back. Try to bring the back side of the left hand towards the back. Then, grasp the fingers of both the hands firmly together.

Make sure you hold it for about 20-25 second. In case, you find difficulty in touching your hands together, you can use a towel to help you with this. Stretching your hands in this way would boost the flexibility of your elbow and help relieve the pain.
